Facebook to launch its own job board

Facebook is going to start publishing job offers this very summer, the Wall Street Journal informed with reference to reliable sources. The Facebook job board can become a serious threat to other professionally oriented social networks, especially LinkedIn.

The world's largest social network is not going to charge for the service in the first phase and it is unclear whether it plans to do so even in the future. Jobs will be published in collaboration with established U.S. companies focusing on finding workers - BranchOut, Jobvite and Work4 Labs. It is not clear how the job board will look like either - whether it will be integrated into existing user profiles or a new separate section will be created. Users should find it out already in August.

After the successful LinkedIn's IPO analysts see the development of the online job offers market towards more specialized websites and high-quality job seekers. The value of the global market for online job offers is around $ 4.3 billion. Facebook already has its position on the market because mainly large companies and their recruiters have been searching employees here. Companeis like Unilever, Boeing, Dell, Microsoft, Walt Disney, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Wal-Mart have their "Facebook career pages".
