European Network of Mentors to help women entrepreneurs

170 mainly female mentors from experienced European entrepreneurs are involved in a European Commission initiative which aims to help novice women entrepreneurs who are in business only two to four years. European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurs is made of entrepreneurs with at least five years of experience with ownership and management of an SME who are eager to share their know-how with at least two starting women entrepreneurs for at least one year.

The initiative is designed to help increase the number of women entrepreneurs in Europe which currently reaches only 34.4%. It is one of the European Commission's actions designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises in 2011. Engaged mentors come form from 17 countries - Albania, Belgium, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, the United Kingdom, Spain and Turkey.
