The end of the year is approaching, and so does the traditional question of which gifts to choose for your employees. The sad truth is that gifts for employees are often impersonal and do not have any value for the employees. The purpose of gift-giving in companies is to make employees happy and, at the same time, enhance employee satisfaction. You do not need to make any spectacular gestures. Even small gifts can do a lot to if you can connect them to the needs and objectives of your people. We have selected some tips for you on these types of gifts from the Training Magazine server.

Improve your working environment

Think about how you can make the environment where your employees spend most of their days nicer and cosier. You can buy new furniture, some plants or desk lamps. Team gifts which encourage collective spirit, such as a new coffee maker, are very popular too.

Improve employee relationships

Use the end of the year as a period to emphasize that all of you are working towards a common goal. You can improve employee morale with a group lunch or volunteer activity. Find a way to give your employees the opportunity to publicly thank each other.

Improve relationships between your employees and supervisors

Ask managers to give their people hand-written thank you notes. They should give their subordinates personal gifts to show they know their people and are interested in their life outside work. Such gifts may include vouchers for restaurants, books, tickets to sporting events, etc.

Improve work-life balance

Isn't time one of the best things you can give your employees? An extra day off will please almost everyone. You can also give something to help reduce employee stress. There are many possibilities - from massages and childcare benefits to vouchers for the local shops.
