A healthy and safe working environment

Above all, every worker needs to feel comfortable in their working environment. They should not feel threatened, neither physically or psychologically. Create an environment in which workers are not afraid to speak their mind and where they can be their true selves.

Training and development

A worker can only be satisfied and engaged if they see they are moving forward with a purpose. If there is no vision and the employer does not care about the development and training of employees, workers will only do the mandatory minimum in terms of job performance.

Recognition

If a worker achieves success, it is imperative they receive sufficient recognition, not only financially but also on a purely human level. If such recognition is absent, the employee will have no incentive to repeat the success in the future.

Vision

Every company should have its priorities and vision for the future defined. And it should enthuse all employees for this common vision.

Enough room for initiative

We are all on different levels in terms of the need to be creative and independent. But to some extent, being independent is a basic need for everyone. Employees thus need some wiggle room and should be allowed to work independently, using their own creativity and initiative.
