The British Lloyds Banking Group has launched a new e-larning program for moms and dads on parental leave. The program, created in cooperation with the supplier Talking Talent, is a part of a broader corporate initiative to support parents among employees and their managers, the onrec.com website informed.

The e-learning course will be accessible to all employees and will include several modules aimed to prepare for maternity, parental leave and return to work. A separate module is designed for men on parental leave. The course includes practical tips, case studies and short videos to help parents with the organization of their work before taking their parental leave, with child care during their maternity leave and also with maintaining contact with the bank during their absence.

The program also includes online support and training for selected HR people to become specialists in providing advice in the period before and during parental leave. The program participants can communicate via an online network. The program for parents includes the possibility of flexible work, too.

The interest in such programs is increasing also among the employers in the Czech Republic. One of them id Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka (CSOB), a major banking company. The Program for moms and dads in CSOB was awarded the HREA - Excellence Award ® 2011 at the professional HR Know How Conference 2012. A similar program has the mobile operator Telefónica Czech Republic. You can read more on how Czech companies are setting up programs for moms and dads in this article.
