When HR Business Partner sits in his office, something is wrong

One of the most popular interviews with personalities from among the managers of human resources on HRNews.cz for the year 2011 was devoted to discussion on HR business partnership and development of employees in Telefónica O2 Czech Republic (now Telefónica Czech Republic).

In the interview, Ctirad Nedbálek, the then Director of People Development & Business Partnering describes how HR can play the role of a genuine strategic partner of a company and how the work HR business partners look like. You can read the entire interview below.

Ctirad Nedbálek graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. He entered the area of HR in 2001 as a Recruitment Consultant for ICT in a Czech recruitment agency called Synergie. In 2004 he joined Eurotel Praha as a specialist for recruitment and selection of employees. Before the merger of Eurotel Praha and Czech Telecom he moved into the position of HR Business Partner for the operating division. After the establishment of Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, he worked first as Senior HR Business Partner for operations division and subsequently as Manager of HR Client Group responsible for a team of HR Business Partners and recruitment department. Since March 2010 he served as Director for People & Development and Business Partnering. Since March 2011 he has been HR Director for People Development in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.
