Survey: Average university graduate earns about 6,000 CZK a month more than a secondary school graduate

A university graduate in the Czech republic earns an average of 22,712 Czech crowns per month and a secondary school graduate earns 16,624 Czech crowns a month. Over the last four years, the gap between their incomes has further increased. These are findings of a survey by Platy.cz, a Czech website offering salary analyses for employers and employees.

The gross monthly income of university graduates has risen by 5% (1,031 CZK) over the last four years  crowns. The gross monthly salary of secondary school graduates increased by 3% (479 CZK).

The biggest difference in salaries of graduates was found in the field of sales. While a university graduate in a sales positions earns on average 24,707 CZK per month, a secondary school graduate earns on average 13,533 crowns per month.

A similar situation was observed in neighboring Slovak Republic. University graduates earn 39% more than secondary school graduates in Slovakia. An average university graduate earns (in conversion) 19,254 CZK and a secondary school graduate only 13,844 CZK.
