In 2011, the total number of job offers published on the Czech job portal Profesia.cz included 11% of jobs suitable for graduates. Another 13% of job offers looked for secondary school graduates. University graduates were in demand especially among IT companies.

The second most popular category for job applicants without experience was administration - more than a quarter of all graduate jobs. The fundamental reason is that these positions do not require specific skills acquired in practice. Another interesting area for students without work experience was trade. Of the total number of offers from the category of trade, 16% of offers was aimed directly at university graduates.

As far as job offers for secondary school graduates, Profesia.cz registered about 2% more such offers than the offers for university graduates. The largest share, more than a third of offers, came from the administrative area. Similarly to the university graduates category, trade and IT followed. Unlike university graduates, secondary school graduates were in demand for auxiliary jobs, too (7 % of job  offers).
