The renowned Top Employer Institute has awarded its certification to DHL Supply Chain for its excellent working conditions and human resources management. It is the first company in the field of logistics to be certified as a Top Employer in five countries at the same time.

DHL Supply Chain

The DHL Supply Chain was certified as a Top Employer in China, Brazil, UK, USA and Spain. A total of 54 percent of all DHL Supply Chain full-time employees are working in these countries.

"We are very pleased to receive such an award on four continents at the same time. Employees are the heart of our business and investing in them is an investment in our future," says Rob Rosenberg, Head of Human Resources at DHL Supply Chain. "With this in mind, we have introduced a number of programmes and initiatives to increase personal engagement, motivation and evaluation of employees in all positions in our organisation."

Evaluation of 600 aspects of human resources

For the past 25 years, the Top Employer Institute has recognised employers around the world who are creating excellent working conditions for their employees. The certification is based on a comprehensive audit of processes, covering 600 aspects of human resources.

DHL Supply Chain was specifically awarded the certificate for its approach in the following areas: talent management strategy, leadership development, career management and succession, and development and education. The certification process consists of extensive research, including third-party auditing.

"In all countries, including the Czech Republic, DHL Supply Chain organises numerous programmes to support career development and personal engagement. An internal training programme entitled The Certified Supply Chain Specialist/Manager offers employees the opportunity to extend their knowledge in all areas and activities within the supply chain, from transportation and storage to sales and finance," explains Gabriela Kahounová, HR Director of DHL Supply Chain in the Czech Republic.

"Programmes such as the Global Volunteer Day and GoHelp offer employees the opportunity to build pillars of corporate social responsibility in real life by supporting their communities, protecting the environment and promoting education," adds Kahounová.
